This latest honor marks the third time bai Hotel Cebu has earned the ASEAN MICE Venue distinction, following its wins for 2020–2022, 2024–2026, and now 2026–2028.

 bai Hotel Cebu has once again underscored its leadership in the hospitality and events industry after receiving the ASEAN Tourism Standard Awards – ASEAN MICE Venue (Meeting Room Category) during the 2026 ASEAN Tourism Standards Awarding Ceremony held at a hotel in South Road Properties, Cebu.


The prestigious recognition was awarded in conjunction with the ASEAN Tourism Forum 2026, hosted by Cebu—further reinforcing the city’s position as a strategic hub for regional and international meetings, conventions, and tourism activities.


This latest honor marks the third time bai Hotel Cebu has earned the ASEAN MICE Venue distinction, following its wins for 2020–2022, 2024–2026, and now 2026–2028—a milestone that highlights the hotel’s sustained commitment to quality, consistency–a level of consistency often associated with Hall of Fame–caliber recognition within ASEAN tourism standards.


The ASEAN seal of approval affirms that bai Hotel Cebu has surpassed established regional benchmarks for meeting room facilities, operational standards, and guest service, making it a preferred venue for diplomatic meetings, high-level corporate gatherings, and local and international tourism-related events.

Expanding its commitment to community-driven sustainability, bai Hotel Cebu has officially partnered with the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP) Mandaue City Jail Female Dormitory to launch an income-generating hydroponic garden initiative inside the BJMP facility. The collaboration was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between representatives of bai Hotel Cebu and the leadership of the BJMP-Mandaue City Jail Female Dormitory. Under the bai for Life sustainability program, the initiative establishes a direct pipeline between the facility’s agricultural output and the hotel’s culinary operations. Managed directly by Persons Deprived of Liberty (PDLs), the hydroponic garden serves as a hands-on platform for rehabilitation, vocational training, and skill-building. The produce harvested from the vertical garden system will be purchased directly by bai Hotel Cebu to supply its dining outlets, guaranteeing a reliable market for the crops.

The final day also featured a meaningful tribute to the late Alfred Reyes, former Vice President for Operations and General Manager of bai Hotel Cebu. At the heart of the commemoration was the Alfred Reyes’s Cup, a basketball exhibition match between the City All-Stars and Island All-Stars, honoring his enduring legacy and contributions to the hospitality industry. Among Team bai's notable achievements were a championship finish in Mixed Badminton, second-place honors in Cheerdance and Ms. HRRACI, and a third-place finish in Table Tennis.
